How to brand yourself – photo and video

I relate to Brian because I also started my career through video editing then moved towards broadening my skillset with photography.

I decided to focus on his experience and career because of this. More of Brain’s work will be featured below, but you can find his website by clicking here.

Branching off to start your own brand is difficult. It can be overwhelming and the future can be ambiguous, which can cause a lot of uncertainty.

I asked Brian about his experience when starting his own brand. Watch the clip below to learn more:

“film; i picked it up for a reason-

To slow down, and to think about my shots.

When I did that, I noticed the benefits. I started thinking more about the lines, shadows, lighting, and things like that.

Weirdly, I remember every [film] shot I take. I don’t shoot rolls and rolls at a time. Whenever I bring out my film camera, I always remember the way the light looked, where I was, what was going on around me.

That’s one of the biggest draws of shooting film for me. I don’t know if it’s just how my brain works, but I love looking at old film- it’s always a trip down memory lane.

I love the convenience of digital photography, but I feel like I savor each shutter click on a film camera.”

Creative process and work ethic

Creative work is difficult.

Motivation and inspiration for creative work seems to be completely random.

There are also countless external factors that impact the final result.

I asked Brian how he gets through the days that are just hard to work through.

I hope you enjoyed learning about Brian and his work. Check out some more of his digital photos below.

As always, thanks for reading.

Really interesting topic and beautiful design and layout for your Blog. I also really enjoy how you split up the post with commentary and videos in short clips. More inviting that way and easy to digest. Great job and can’t wait to see more!
